Everyday Life

When You Least Expect It, Expect It

In 1969, a summer water fight in the front yard ended with Mama pointing her finger and saying: "Richie, when you least expect it, expect it." Years later, that childhood lesson still holds — because life has a way of throwing things at you without warning. That's one reason Curtis has come to appreciate having AI as a tool.

"When something unexpected happens, AI can help me slow down, organize the information, look at the situation from different angles, and figure out what questions I should be asking."

What is NAV-LD?

NAV-LD — Navigate AI. Live-Discover. — is a community for everyday people who are using, exploring, learning about, or simply curious about artificial intelligence. No jargon, no hype, no tech degree required. Just honest stories and practical guidance from people navigating AI in everyday life.

NAV-LD is a community built around real AI experiences from everyday people. Whether you've been using AI for a while or you're still on the fence, you belong here.

The stories come from people like you — what worked, what didn't, what surprised you, and what you learned along the way.

If you've used AI and have something honest to share, this is the place.

Travel

Planning our Washington, DC trip meant keeping track of flights, tours, transportation, meals, timing, and a lot of little details. I used AI to help organize everything into a day-by-day plan that was easier to follow and adjust as things changed.

Creativity

Chris is a huge Seahawks fan, and I wanted to do more than just post a score after the game. AI helped turn game-day ideas, memories, and photos into fun Seahawks images and posts that felt personal instead of generic.

Family

Gigi wanted to have a little fun with some family photos. We used AI to experiment with things like matching green hair highlights, adding Amee into pictures with the grandkids, and turning ordinary snapshots into something the family could laugh about and enjoy.

"I was skeptical about AI at first. I don't easily trust new people or technology just because someone says I should. I tested it with real questions and real problems. Over time, I discovered that AI could be an extremely useful tool in everyday life. — Curtis, NAV-LD founder"
